Is lexapro a successful strategy for either bipolar ii or depression Hi there
Lexapro is a reasonably good drug, but like there isnrrrt 100% accuracy. Also, while working with bipolar there may be usually whatever they call a "cocktail" meaning learning from your errors of varied medications and maybe being on many medication to balance the mind chemistry.
I suffered from panic and anxiety attacks, Agoraphobia and depression over the 70's and my doctor put me on "Amitriptyline" which worked wonders personally. The most important problem for SSRI's (for depression) is fat gain, however i managed to control my weight by watching the things i ate and exercising together with drinking 8 -10 glasses of water every day.
If you wish more answers and more research done about this please email me and that i could well be very happy to offer you more information.

AnswerHi, Last year I have a traumatic experience that ended in depression. My psychologist diagnosed me as moderately depressed. As i asked my psychologist an anti-depressant, he was quoted saying it will assist my depression symptoms (apethy, lethargy, hopelessness) to ensure that I can focus on addressing other places around my life that should be healed. I decided lexapro because my doctor explained all the SSRIs to me and thought 10 mg of lexapro would suit me. She said however, that checking out any drug is similar to an experiment. Some people get a full fit on their own first drug, some ought to try 3 or 4. I started on 5 mg of lexapro and my sister thought I had been acting like my old self in a day or two. I have been on 10 mg from the drug for A year with no problems. Unlike the majority of people, We have lost 15 pounds with this drug. I was a psychological eater, and this drug reduced the problem eat only if I'd been hungry. I have been previously very grateful for a way this drug has helped me through depression. However, I see drugs as only part of my depression treatment. I see a psychologist every weeks to talk, I have a family and boyfriend who're patient and perception of my healing process, and my personal relationship with God may be foundational inside my progress. AnswerSSRIs (like Lexapro) can induce mania when used alone in a very person with bipolar disorder. Normally, a psychiatrist is only going to prescribe an SSRI as well as a mood stabilizer (Lithium, Depakote) for example with bpd. Discover more about it at one of the psych health educational sites: NAMI. org, psycheducation. org etc. Google's health directory supply you with more sites to refer to. AnswerI've been on Lexapro for depression (not abusive drinking) fora little over the month. It hasn't appeared to do much so I've had my dosage increased. Nevertheless has not did actually do much.
The way it absolutely was taught me by my Dr. is that Lexapro isn't mood-altering. It maintains your seratonin levels so that you can don't end up being low depressed or stay there.
I'm needs to wonder, however, via a the drug to me or maybe I'm treatment-resistant. AnswerI took Lexapro for several years for depression/ Bipolar II which can be bipolar without the manic side.
buy clomid without a prescription And that means you don't neccessarily have to have a mood stabilizer. Lexapro at 40mg worked approximately a year personally then it eradicated to me it's not the top maintenance anti-depressant.
buy Pills online without a prescription This hadn't change my personality but it really did assist me to take care of things a little easier we were built with a problem having the capacity to cry. Stange, anyways, I'm now on Effexor XR 150mg and after about A few months I felt great. Its been about 5 months or so and i also don't realize some panic/anxiety attacks which a avert through an occassional Klonopin 0. 5mg. My husband says the amalgamation works well for me personally. It effects everyone differently, all meds effect everyone differently, so its an endeavor and error game. It takes patience and the will never to surrender too quickly over a med before it features a chnce to operate fully.
Please don't quit, everything needs time to work. It is hard being patient in the end it is going to pay off.
Good Luck! !

I took Lexapro and WellbutrinXL for depression for 4 years and began "rapid cycling" into depressive episodes. My psychiatrist added Lamictal, a drug for Bipolar II. I have been previously amazingly stable for the past 1-1/2 several so my doctor is letting me slowly quit taking the Lexapro and WellbutrinXL - buyers . , I'm finding the awful physical withdrawal symptoms, yet not the emotional ones. We'll check if the Lamictal on it's own is enough. If that's the case, it's worth the cost all.

The experience has become which it worked fantastically for me personally. I have had everything and took this as something that only agreed to be likely to work with the prevention of bottoming out. I'm "rapid cycles" type (often misdiagnosed as scizos because those omit things that we really do not share when our illnesses usually are not properly medicated) and that i recognize that picking out the correct medicines are dependent on "personality" not diagnois. We all have seen medicine that works well an excellent option for another person; we try it and. . . . . nothing. After going through that period and time again you set about to get rid of faith from the Pharms' to create something to help understanding that you'll be stuck down this hole the others you life because what you've taken in the last never gotten someone to that you were before your illness reared its ugly head that you experienced. DON'T Quit! ! ! Keep trying everything, even drugs you've been told won't work on your affiction.
